Sell your courses with Stripe — zero commission, instant enrollment

Konstantly now has built-in Stripe support. Connect your own Stripe account, set a price on any course, and start selling. Konstantly takes zero commission on your sales.

When customers ask me how to sell courses with Konstantly, I usually have to give them the long answer: "It depends. Are you on Shopify? Use the connector. Want your own checkout? You'll need a third-party plugin or a custom build. Need a marketplace? Try a different platform."

Today I'm giving them a much simpler answer: connect your Stripe account, set a price on a course, share the link. That's it.

The Stripe integration is live in Konstantly today. Use your own Stripe account, sell courses directly from your workspace, and Konstantly takes zero commission — the full payment goes from Stripe straight to your bank account.

Why direct Stripe (not a marketplace)

Most LMS platforms that "support payments" actually mean they've built a marketplace, they take a 10–30% cut of every sale, and you don't really own the customer relationship.

That model has tradeoffs we don't want for Konstantly customers. So we built the opposite:

  • You connect your own Stripe account — your business, your merchant ID, your bank account
  • Konstantly takes nothing — you only pay Stripe's standard processing fees, plus your Konstantly subscription
  • You own the customer — they pay you directly; Konstantly is the delivery layer, not the storefront

If you've been selling courses through a marketplace LMS and watching 20% of every sale disappear, this is for you.

What it does

Once connected, the integration adds three things to your Konstantly workspace.

A price field on every course

Open any course → Edit coursePricing → switch from Free to Paid → enter a price → save. That's the entire flow. Each course can have its own price, and you can sell some in USD and others in EUR or GBP if your audience is international.

A purchase link and embed code

The moment a course has a price, Konstantly generates a purchase link you can share anywhere — email, social, your blog, a sales page — and an embed code you can drop into your website or landing page as an iframe.

The purchase link goes to Stripe Checkout (the hosted, PCI-compliant version). Buyers see a clean payment form with your business name on it, not Konstantly's.

Auto-enrollment after payment

The moment payment clears, Konstantly handles enrollment automatically:

  • New buyer? They get an invitation email with a signup link and the course pre-assigned. When they sign up, the course is waiting.
  • Existing learner? The course is added to their account immediately, and they get a confirmation email.

There's no manual provisioning. No CSV uploads. No support tickets asking "where's my course?".

Two ways for learners to check out

Depending on whether the buyer already has a Konstantly account, the flow differs slightly.

Public purchase is for cold leads who don't have an account yet. They click your shareable link, enter their email, pay through Stripe, and get an invitation email with the course pre-assigned. The simplest possible path from "interested" to "enrolled".

Logged-in purchase is for existing learners on your platform. They see a Buy button on any paid course they don't yet own. One click → Stripe checkout → instant enrollment. Same flow they'd expect from any modern store.

Both flows go through Stripe Checkout, so buyers benefit from everything Stripe supports: credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and depending on your region, iDEAL, SEPA, bank transfers, and others. Configure payment methods in your Stripe Dashboard under Settings → Payment methods.

Refunds work the way they should

If you need to refund a purchase, do it in your Stripe Dashboard like normal. Konstantly automatically detects the refund and marks the purchase as refunded in your records.

One thing to note: refunding the payment in Stripe doesn't automatically remove the course from the buyer's library. If you want to revoke access, you'll need to unenroll them manually. We left it that way intentionally — sometimes you refund a payment but the learner is still entitled to access for goodwill reasons.

Setup takes about 5 minutes

  1. Get your Stripe API keys from your Stripe Dashboard → Developers → API keys (Publishable + Secret)
  2. Connect in Konstantly under Settings → Integrations → Stripe, paste both keys, click Verify and Connect
  3. Set a price on a course — Edit course → Pricing → switch to Paid → enter amount and currency → save

That's it. The course is now sellable. Test it with Stripe's test-mode keys before flipping to live, and you're ready to start collecting payments.

The full setup walkthrough including test mode, currency notes, and troubleshooting is in our Sell Courses with Stripe guide.

What it doesn't do (yet)

Being honest about the current state:

  • No subscriptions or recurring billing — only one-time purchases. If you want monthly access, Shopify supports subscription products, or you can build your own subscription model and grant course access via the Konstantly API.
  • No bundles — each course has its own price. To sell a bundle, link to multiple purchase links from a single landing page, or use Shopify's bundle feature.
  • No Stripe Connect for marketplaces — each Konstantly workspace connects its own Stripe account directly. If you're building a marketplace where multiple sellers list courses through your Konstantly instance, contact us about custom integration.

Konstantly takes nothing — to be very clear

I want to say this one more time, because most LMS platforms bury this in the fine print: Konstantly takes 0% commission on courses you sell through Stripe. Not 5%, not 2%, not "discounted to 1% if you're on the Pro plan". Zero.

The full payment goes Stripe → your bank account. The only money Stripe takes is its standard processing fee. The only money Konstantly takes is your platform subscription, which is the same whether you sell one course or a million.
